Qualified to design complex buildings, including high-rise residential
Ed graduated from the Master of Architecture program at UNSW, specialising in high performance building technology. A registered architect in New South Wales and Victoria and a Certified Passive House Designer, he is passionate about sustainability, aesthetics and function, and about homes that are healthy, comfortable and energy efficient to live in.
He is a rigorous problem solver: his approach is to imagine what a project could become, then work out the best solution through research and careful analysis.
Meike is a Dutch interior designer who brings her experience in Europe to her projects in Australia. She creates spaces that are visually appealing, practical and responsive to each client's needs.
Her design philosophy centres on natural textures and on balance, which she believes brings a sense of harmony to the people who live in a home, and a luxurious experience that goes beyond appearance.
Making Studio is a Sydney architecture and interior design practice built on co-authorship. The work begins with understanding each client's values, needs and lifestyle, so that the home we design truly belongs to them. Our work rests on authenticity, care and integrity, and as a family-run studio we take a strong sense of responsibility and pride in everything we create.
Every project begins with a close understanding of the client's lifestyle, taste and aspirations, so that the finished home feels like their own.
With both disciplines under one roof, the design is resolved as one, from the structure to the smallest detail and from inside to outside.
